IPOH TRIP

We will having 6 days 5 night at Ipoh, Malaysia.

Attire

1st day : Red T-shirt, Long pants and Shoe

2nd day : Band T-shirt, School bottoms and Shoe

3rd day : Any T-shirt, Track or Long Pants and Shoe
Blue T-shirt, Any pants, Shoe

4th day : IPOH T-shirt, Long pants, Shoe

5th day : Black T-shirt, Long pants and Shoe

6th day : Any T-shirt, Any pants and Shoe

* All must be covered shoe
No tank top/ spagehetti straps
No translusent t-shirt, jeans or pants that ends above the knee on Day 3 (caving)
Best is to wear long sleeve (caving)


Things must bring:
Full Band Uniform + Black Covered Shoe
Thermometer
Water bottle (at least 500ml and not the disposable kind)
Towel
Zip lock bag
Track pants (caving)
Notebook, handbook and writing materials
Lanyard, Name cardsa and Gifts
Torch light with spare batteries

Practicing

Pls note:
Every Mon & Wed is normal band practice.
Friday is sectionals/self-practice.

Sec 1:
-Practice 2 scales of choice ( not including concert B-flat scale). Percussion use mallets.
- Chromatic scale in ♩ = 80 ( ♫ )

Sec 2:
- Practice 3 scales of choice
- Chromatic scale ♩ = 80 ( ♬ ♬/ 4 semiquavers in a beat )
- "14 weeks to a better band" exercise 6

Sec 3 :
- Practice 5 scales of choice
- Chromatic scale ♩ = 80 ( ♬ ♬ ) [ two octaves of any key ]
- "14 weeks to a better band" exercise 6

Reminder

Note that there will be no band on Saturdays.

Please arrange your holidays on the last week of June. The band is having intensive programme on the 1st 3 weeks of the holidays. Band Camp will be on the 3rd week Tuesday,Wednesday Thursday ( 14 , 15 and 16 June). Parent's Night will be on 3rd week friday (17/06) Please make sure to inform your parents about it.

Also, please remember to pay the $4 Band Fund!
Next practice will be on Monday (23/05) and Wednesday ( 25/05 )
